REQUIREMENT:
Transformation of current manual operations into a complete automated end of line to reduce manpower, improve ergonomics, increase the production efficiency of the line and the quality of the finished product on the shelves
DESCRIPTION OF THE SCOPE OF SUPPLY:
Consumable eggs packs are collected directly from the existing grading machines to a multi-layer product transfer – made by Comega – with automatic control and positioning via HMI.
The conveying systems convey the products to the different packaging lines equipped with the Comega machinery, in particular:
- 1 station for manual picking
- 2 stations for egg trays packing into plastic crates by means of pick&place 2 linear axis technology
- 1 station for egg trays packing into plastic crates by means of pick&place anthropomorph robot solution
- 1 palletizing station with dedicated gripping unit – made by Comega – to handle different types of packaging – both plastic and cardboard crates
The line includes 3 destackers – made bv Comega – for plastic crates and integrates OEM’s equipment such as labelling machines, covers closing devises, code readers and others.
The whole line is managed through a Main controller whose software has been developed 100% by Comega for the supervision of the entire line and capable to optimize product flows, ensure maximum productivity and efficiency, provide statistical data. An operator recognition system via RFID technology allows dedicated access in total safety.
